Well if you would like a German V8 with a manual, Audi S5s are officially under $30K. Many of the 2008s starting to fall under $20K.

Below is an S5 with under 70K miles listed for $21,000.

You can always find a G37 Coupe, though AWD coupes with the manual are a bit more rare. This 2011 has 51,000 miles for $21,000.

But maybe you just want a big cruiser. Well if you don’t mind the 90k miles, here’s a 2008 CL63 AMG for $32,000.

However, just to grab a V12, I might start watching CL600s. This 2007 example has under 50k miles for $32,000.

Just some quick glances. It’s only the Audi S5 I’m interested in though. By the time I’m ready to buy, low mileage 2011s will be under $21,000. I’ll have to leave myself a note. I wanted an S5 years ago, especially pre-facelift when it was the best looking coupe around. I also remember the custom exhaust sound from this video getting me pretty hyped years back.

I’ll take either the S5 or the G37.

Same. CLs are just too big and beyond my level of bravery. Would go SL though. I really want an AWD, manual 2-door and either would be fine. We’ll see where prices and condition go.

No it isn’t. Living in a land of £5,000 M5s, RS6s & CL55s is horrible torture. I dare look higher than what is on offer for £10,000, I think I would end up losing my mind.

You are telling this to the guy who pays for a VW Phaeton, A Kizashi and a 3000GT Spyder VR4 and a 330CI coupe manual. I’m one bad decision away from having my own ‘cars & coffee’ every Saturday. But yes, I still want to save money

That 4.2 is PoS in reliability, cannot imagine it being any better with Direct Injection.

Depreciation is a beautiful thing. These are under $35k now for sub-50k mile examples:

Damn Corvettes are holding their values better every generation though. I found a 2008 Masie GT with 37,300 miles for $37,950. Unfortunately there isn’t an exotic car dealer in the state and I’m doubtful of finding a great independent out here (though there must be one some where since I do see a few exotics every month).

You’re a brave man.....I wouldn’t touch a used Audi with a 900 foot pole.

There was a 2012 or so S4 for sale around me. 6spd and all. I just don't think I hate myself enough to own an Audi.
